If you think power metal lyrics are dramatic, try reading the plot of Tristan und Isolde<\/strong>\u2014it\u2019s like an entire concept album packed into one opera.<\/p>

Classical music was heavy metal before amps, before drum kits, and before anyone even thought about growing their hair out and wearing black leather. It had the speed, the aggression, the darkness, and the virtuosity that would later define metal.
